Jean-François Bourdeau
Messaging Specialist, President and Founder
Jean-Francois Bourdeau is the president and founder of LastSpam. He is a messaging and security specialist with 23 years experience in the IT industry.
Mr. Bourdeau has a flair for adapting emerging new technologies to ever-changing customer needs.
Years ago, Bourdeau operated bulletin board systems (BBS) with a 300 bps modem and UUCP gateway, allowing Internet email functionality for customers at that time when ISP service was in its infancy. In Montreal, Bourdeau went on to operate a well-known BBS named Eureka, serving all insurance companies (13,000) in Quebec, along with most school districts in the province, and Apple Canada.
For the past 15 years and as owner of NetGroupes, Bourdeau has provided network integration and IT security services to businesses, school districts and government customers in Canada and internationally.
Mr. Bourdeau’s business philosophy brings together what he views as the two most critical elements in today’s high tech marketplace – the ability to bring best-of-breed new technologies to customers, together with personal, customer service. He has built the LastSpam team on these tenets, and is involved in both the technical side of the business and customer contacts on a daily basis.
Éric Roberge, CMA
Business Strategist and Chief Financial Officer
Éric Roberge is LastSpam’s chief financial officer. A certified management accountant and graduate of HEC Montréal, Mr. Roberge has over 15 years experience in enterprise management, taxation and corporate financing of high technology companies.
As an experienced entrepreneur, Mr. Roberge launched his own consulting firm in 1991, specializing in financing, taxation and accounting for small and medium businesses. He built and served a client base of 350 companies. In 2002, Roberge sold his company to focus more specifically on strategic consulting, taxation, and enterprise financing.
In 2001 and 2002, Roberge was a member of the Committee of Professional Inspection of the Certified Management Accountant (CMA) Professional Corporation.
In addition to directing the financial management at LastSpam, Roberge contributes significantly to business strategy, planning and management.
Guy Fortin
Lead Technical Engineer and Systems Manager
Guy Fortin leads the technical team at LastSpam and oversees the management of the systems. Mr. Fortin has over 20 years experience in the IT security industry.
Mr. Fortin is a surveyor, developer, fixer and implementer of new IT technologies.
Since 1995, Fortin has worked with enterprise customers, bringing them Internet connectivity and IT security services, customized to meet specific needs. Knowing, firsthand, the range of email communications problems and challenges faced by enterprises, Fortin has built his career on delivering efficient and secure email service for customers.
Fortin has been the technical mind behind LastSpam’s multi-tiered solution since day one.
Jennifer Satterfield
International Partner & Sales Director
Jennifer Satterfield heads up LastSpam’s international partner and sales programs. Based out of Madison, Wisconsin, Ms. Satterfield creates strategic partnerships and nurtures customer relationships to make sure LastSpam is best meeting changing customer and market needs.
Ms. Satterfield has 18 years business experience, and has worked with a variety of high tech products and services, including Norman Virus Control. With Norman, Satterfield headed up North American partner programs for six years, bringing niche-quality services to the SMB market. She has experience serving customers and meeting market needs worldwide, over the years, having built new business practices for a variety of clients in London, Jakarta and Washington, DC.
Ms. Satterfield holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Rhetorical Communications from Marquette University in Milwaukee.
Ugo Bellavance
Server Architect & Manager
Ugo Bellavance is LastSpam’s server architect and manager. Mr. Bellavance is a specialist in building internet servers and email security servers. He has seven plus years experience working with companies and customers, including the City of Longueuil, Camo-Route, CFI Informatique, Fort Systems and Lubik.
Bellavance holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from Concordia University in Montreal, and a Master’s Degree in Electronic Commerce from HEC Montreal.
In addition to managing Lastspam’s servers, Bellavance provides customer support and contributes to technical development planning and business strategy.
